The Man Behind It

Hemant Reddy is the founder of The GrandMaster Forge. In a highly decorated career span of over 2-decades, he has trained more than 2000 students, empowered 50+ trainers to teach chess and has introduced chess in more than 100-schools across Hyderabad.
His experience and expertise cover coaching, giving seminars, organizing tournaments, officiating as arbiter writing chess books among a myriad of other facets of chess.

Durgarasad K is not just a coach but a reigning champion, having recently clinched the Telugu States Chess Tournament title in both 2024 and 2025, along with the Andhra Pradesh State Championship in 2023. This remarkable consistency at the highest levels of state and national competition, including victories in prestigious international events like the Vibrant International Tournament, means he brings current, battle-tested strategies and mental fortitude directly to his students.
His career is a testament to sustained excellence, evolving from a 2-times JNTU-Hyderabad champion to a dominant force across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. By securing top placements in diverse, competitive arenas—from the AP State Championship to the KIIT International Festival—Durgarasad has developed a profound understanding of the complete chess ecosystem, making him uniquely equipped to guide players through every stage of their competitive journey.
